I remember meeting Mrs. Anderson at our meetings and she truly left a wonderful legacy for students and their families. I had the privilege of meeting Mrs.

Anderson through the Texas State Family Association. She was an inspiring woman who dearly loved and was extremely proud of Texas State University.

Teri believed that “Design defines an opportunity, develops a solution and most importantly, communicates a message in an engaging and memorable way.

Teri was a creative and professional graphic designer within the Instructional Technologies Support Department and over the years worked with a variety of people within the Texas State University community, as well as the San Marcos community.

The many design awards she received attest to her ability and love of her work. In addition, she was an accomplished artist whose work spoke to family and history – telling stories through images.

But beyond her love of art and design, what she valued most were her children and family. She will be missed. There isn’t a day that goes by that you aren’t remembered in some way or another.

You give us subtle signs that you are still present in our lives Your laughter and smile can still be heard as we try our best to get through each day.

I knew Nikki as a friend and co-worker for years. I also knew that she was an outstanding student at Texas State University taking classes that I would never dream of enrolling in and making ‘A’s while working full time.

I started my graduate program at Texas State in January and remember calling Nikki because I was lost on campus. I complained about how many hills there were and how I wasn’t in shape for graduate school.

She was one the smartest ladies that I have met with a laugh like no other. Nikki left us last April and left me alone with no one to complain to about the hills, among other things.

I graduate this May and know she’ll be watching down on me. She is missed by so many people. I could spend days listing all of your accomplishments, weeks listing the details of your life, and many many years listing memories.

But none of that would change the reality that I miss you more than 27 years worth of words could ever describe. You will forever be my Princess Students like her make teaching fun.

Nikki would have had a very successful career in medicine and been endlessly rewarded by being able to help people. I’m sure all her friends and family still miss her immensely.

Lynne was a dedicated teacher who loved philosophy and spent many hours coaching students to compete in the Ethics Bowl. She showed great concern for social justice, devoting much time and energy to the Hays County Women’s Shelter and exploring environmental concerns in her writings.

She was a non-traditional student in more ways than one. Having had one career in the airline business in her native Brazil, she went on to earn the Ph.

She developed more classes in a shorter period of time than anyone I can think of because she always had a new angle on her beloved Latin American studies.

Health reasons led to her premature retirement, but even to the end she was thinking about her commitment to the department and the university.

She is missed. Cassidy was the perfect daughter, sister and friend to many. She attended Weatherford College where she finished on the Dean’s List.

For one who never bragged, she said, “Look at me go” when she sent me her grades and acknowledgement of acceptance to your University.

Thank you for honoring her in your memorial service. She would have been an honor student and a great new friend to many in San Marcos.

I’ve known Caroline since fifth grade. She’s always been outspoken and fearless. She always stood up for what she felt was right. I loved the way she laughed and smiled whenever she entered a room.

Everyday spent with her was an adventure, whether we were playing secret agent in the halls of school or pretending to be Joan Rivers, life was always good when Caroline was around.

I miss her too much for words. She will be remembered. Our sleepovers were always epic, whether we were pigging out on chocolate and ice cream, or being nerds and playing old games on your super nintendo.
